Job Description

1. Maintains a working knowledge of all RUI Policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
2. Implements a varied and innovative Life Enrichment program to enhance the emotional, social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of the residents as directed by the Life Enrichment Director.
3. Leads and assists resident activities as requested with minimal supervision while implementing appropriate modifications to assist residents with physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments.
4. Assists residents as necessary with going to and from activities.
5. Organizes, coordinates and accompanies residents on special outings as necessary.
6. Assists in advertising/promoting programs by preparing and posting daily notices, posters as required.
7. Arranges chairs, tables and sporting or exercise equipment in specified areas for scheduled group or one on one activities.
8. Actively participates in the Community Ambassador program and presents the Oral History to the new resident as directed by the Life enrichment Director.
9. Takes photographs during activities/events as directed by the Life Enrichment Director and ensures timely transfer to Life Enrichment Director without violating HIPAA.
10. Drives the Community Van as needed.

Job Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent and related work experience.
• Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, follow instructions and direction, interact with residents of varying backgrounds and abilities, remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations, and work as a tem member.
• Must ne able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and exert up to 25 lbs., of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
• Must have the ability to identify community resources.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must have a safe driving record. A copy of Division of Motor Vehicles Driving Record must be given to the Administrator.-
• Must have strong customer service and hostility skills as it relates to both residents and their families.
