Job Description

POLICY/PROCEDURE/ADMINISTRATION
1) Maintains a working knowledge of food preparation for all menu items


2) Assists Cook with food preparation as assigned


3) Properly stores and labels food


4) Understands kitchen equipment and the operation of the equipment


5) Maintains a clean working environment, including floors


6) Cleans kitchen and equipment according to routine schedule planned by the Executive Chef


7) Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized


8) Assists on the serving line as needed


9) Attends staff meetings and in-services as required


10) Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

REQUIRMENTS
1) Must have the ability to read, write and follow simple directions. Must be able to learn quickly and apply principles learned.


2) Must be able to lift, bend and reach


3) Must be able to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and exert up to 25 lbs. of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects


4) Must possess the ability to follow directions from supervisor


5) Must be willing and able to perform simple repetitive tasks


6) Must be in  designated uniform during working hours


7) Must be polite, considerate towards residents, co-workers and supervisor(s)


8) Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays


9) Must have strong customer service skills
